Bigger bars, both in width and clamp diameter, are the new normal and it makes sense. As bars have gotten wider, the leverage at the clamp area has increased, necessitating a larger diameter to cope with the additional stress. The newest batch of 35mm bars are stiffer, have better ride qualities, and come in lighter than their equivalent 31.8mm bars. With 35mm of rise, the Race Face Turbine R 35 35mm Rise Handlebar gets your cockpit up a little higher, without resorting to a plethora of headset spacers, so you can bomb down the steepest chunder with complete confidence knowing that arguably your most important component, can handle it. Pumping through ridgeline rollers and popping off log drops, you'll be riding in complete control and upping your game.
These bars are triple butted from cold-drawn 7050 aluminum and tip the scales at 300g. That might not be as impressive as some carbon fiber bars but we will gladly accept the 50 or so odd grams for the added durability, peace of mind, and value. The construction and sweep is similar to the standard Turbine, however the Turbine R is built to rally and its added width is catered for all-mountain, aggressive trail, and enduro exploits. The 800mm width is perfect for the current crop of full-suspension trail bikes. Stealth, black-on-black looks great on any bike and the overall strength to weight ratio is appreciated up and down the trails.

How to Change Bike Stem & Handlebar
In this video I am showing you how to change your handlebars and stem. In this case I am upgrading to wider bars -- 760mm RACEFACE Turbine and upgrading my stem to RACEFACE Aeffect 40mm. The task of changing these parts is not hard and very easy to do.. Just be aware of how tight you are cranking down the screws when putting everything back together!
