Race Face Atlas 1 1/4in Riser Handlebar

Add Protect+ Powered by Extend™

Nearly 32mm of rise makes Race Face's Atlas 1 1/4in Riser Handlebar one of its tallest. And, at 785mm wide (almost 31 inches), it's going to fill the gap of larger riders looking for a spacious cockpit, or downhill racers looking for more control.

To fulfill strength requirements, the Atlas is constructed from cold-drawn, seamless 7050-T76 aluminum with internal butting at the clamp zone. For excellent ergonomics and control, Race Face gives the Atlas an eight-degree rearward, and four-degree upward, sweep to place the wrists in a neutral position. This allows riders to naturally maneuver the bike in the air and on land along multiple axes. The Race Face Atlas 1 1/4in Riser Handlebar comes in an anodized, durable Black finish, and it has a 31.8mm clamp diameter.

Really Nice

I've used it several times

I bought this as a gift for my dad because he wants to have better handling of his MTB, this handlebar is pretty wide thus it gives him that feeling. Recommend it 100%

A Classic

I've put it through the wringer

I've had the Atlas bar on a few bikes over the years, and keep coming back. It's largely personal, I love that this bar has a bit more sweep than many of the DH bars these days, but other folks my not be into that. I also dig the 785mm width, but those who are into the mega-wide 800+ bars might not be as stoked. If you like a bit of sweep and a somewhat-wide bar, I would highly recommend this one in whatever rise fits you best.

Great Bar

I've put it through the wringer

I've always been fond of running a shorter stem and a taller rise on my bikes and these fit the bill perfectly. Being a 785mm width they're a little too wide from what I like but there is the option to cut them down; you definitely can't make a skinnier bar wider! I currently run them on my 2011 Trek Remedy 9 with a 70mm stem, planning on swapping to a 50mm soon. The tall rise on it gives you the option to roll it backwards or forwards to suit your reach. There have been no issues with durability so far (I know that was a concern when Race Face switched manufacturers some time back) but these haven't hit the ground too hard (yet). The graphics seem to be fairly durable as well.
