    It's time to move.

Setting the skinner or racking up is hard work, but someone's gotta do it, and that someone better be wearing the Rab Vapour-Rise Tour Gloves. Designed to be water resistant and highly breathable, the Vapour-Rise features a Pertex Equilibrium membrane for water resistance and breathability, along with Rab's Vapour-Rise technology to take the glove's breathability to the next level. The Pittards Armortan leather palm provides good grip and durability, while the microfleece lining provides lightweight moisture-wicking insulation and the hook-and-loop cuff keeps snow and spindrift off your hands.

    Terrific Gloves

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These are really great gloves - the fit for me was perfect - the tactile feel and the insulation spot on. Lots of snow - no leaking, no moisture - just perfect.

    Love them mostly, but...

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These are terrific gloves. I use them for xc skiing and as backup gloves in my pack for downhill. They fit well, wick moisture well, and the double leather palms are bomber. Problem? The nose wipe on the thumbs lasted exactly one season; probably less than 20 wearings. It's all cracked and peeling, and now when I wipe my nose, I need to be careful to use the coarse fabric on the back of the glove. If I forget and use the supposedly soft nose wipe fabric on the thumb, it'll actually scratch my nose, since it's covered in cracked shards of crunchy fabric. No clue why it happened; I treated the gloves well and they've never been in a washer or anything with intense heat like that. Other than, they're some of the best gloves I've ever owned.

    Lightweight Coverage For Mah Fingies.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These gloves are excellent touring gloves for a cold morning on the skin track or for the downhill on a spring day. I did notice that in wet spring-time snow, the leather palm immediately starts soaking up water. I would recommend using a leather conditioner/water-proofer in order to slow the onset of soaked gloves in wet conditions. The synthetic back material seems appropriately water resistant. Otherwise, the gloves fit exactly as expected, are super comfortable, and lightweight to wear.

Bought in a pinch, now the go-to glove

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

As the title says, I bought these in a pinch on a trip. Flying into the upper Midwest, I knew the weather forecast of 40's was too optimistic for December. A blizzard moved in and dropped to air temps to just above ZERO. These fit true to size and snug on the hand for good dexterity (I purchased a large). I was mostly in and out of a vehicle this trip, so I was not exposed to these temps for any extended period of time. If you were going to do any true alpining or skiing, I would recommend a heavier glove... This purchase was also my first exposure to Rab as a brand, and I must say I have been very impressed with the fit and quality. Future gear purchases of Rab will definitely be in consideration as needed! Bottom line, great glove. Extremely comfortable and thus far has held up to quite a bit of use.
