    Ski or climb the Sawtooths.

The Men's Sawtooth Pant is Rab's lightest and most breathable softshell pant for spring ski touring and summer alpine climbing. Its Matrix DWS fabric has the stretch you need for dynamic movement, and the DWR finish protects you from the sun's UV rays as well as wet weather. Articulated knees enhance mobility so you can ascend and descent with a freedom of movement.

The Sawtooth also features a snappy waistband with a soft tricot lining that wicks moisture and dries quickly. Reinforced kick patches protect the Sawtooth's cuffs from ski edges and crampons, and the hem drawcord ensures a secure fit. Rab added zippered pockets

    Perfect Spring Pant

    • Height: 5'10"
    • Weight: 175lbs

I purchased these for longer traverses in the spring. My other pants are Procline FLs which are slightly heavy when the sun comes out and your moving with a heavy pack. These should be a nice balance.

Nice design, funny fit on the front

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Size Bought: 32
    • Height: 5'11"
    • Weight: 170lbs

Overall a well designed pant. But if you got lots of muscles in upper leg and gluts and not much fat (read size 32, 5'11, 170lb) you may have a funny effect of them folding up and forming a huge crease when you half-lift your leg.

So, unfortunately, this has to go back

    Always Rab

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 34
    • Height: 6'3"
    • Weight: 210lbs

Rab as a whole is excellent. I will always go to this brand for outdoor clothes.
These pants are an excellent, lightweight softshell. Great for hiking, alpine climbing or skimo. FOur pockets give you room for storage. THe zippers let you keep the stuff secure and the pockets are flat, so no 90's cargo pants look.
I like the belt loops. Critical as they'll stretch a bit and get loose at the waist after a you put them on.
    My two complaints:
    1. just a hair short for a tall guy. No tall option. That's a bummer.
    2. The leg openings are a little tight for most ski boots.

    Great on Sale

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: 32x32
    • Height: 5'11"
    • Weight: 175lbs

Bottom line I bought these because I got them for $75. I needed something between a lightweight hiking pant and snowboard pants for winter hikes in the Appalachians. These are more on the light weight side of that scale and appear to be extremely durable with the soft-shell type material. I picked up some Patagonia long underwear to go under these and the combo seems to be perfect for long distance hikes where warmth is nice and flexibility and breathability are nicer. If you can find them in your size, you won't be disappointed.

I would have put a zipper on the bottom of each leg to make them more boot friendly since they are a winter pant and they did run a little tighter than I expected. All in all, solid winter hiking option, especially for the price.

    Pretty dope pants

Lightweight pants, I use them for ice climbing and they are insufficient but they get the job done. would be perfect for late season though
