Very light

Packs up small and yet keeps wind and rain off really well - I use it for running. It is a tight fit so I went up a size to XL, even though all the rest of my kit is L. As a result is now a bit large but actually works well. Hood also stows so good for running if you just want to keep the wind off. The lack of pockets etc is a real bonus as it enables it to pack well. Overall this is the best waterproof lightweight jacket I have ever owned by some margin.

Brilliant! Easy to store, keeps the wind out as well as the rain. Packs down easily after use. I brought 2 and well worth the money. Fully tested in extreme rain during our recent trip to Cornwall.

I hate leaving a bad review and I'm sorry for this but I need to be honest. I only wore this jacket 3 times in heavy rain for no longer than 5 minutes at a time while running errands. Within a minute or 2 the arms began to wet out. When I took the jacket off there was definitely moisture on my arms. Although my core was dry, the jacket immediately began absorbing water and I could tell that if I wore it for any significant amount of time, the entire jacket would wet out. The jacket doesn't repell water. It begins absorbing it immediately and I had to hang it up for at least an hour to dry. I know most ultralight jackets will eventually wet out but not after 5 minutes. For the price, I would expect to be able to at least wear it for a few hours in the rain before wetting out. I have the yellow version from last year so maybe there have been some improvements but all of the specs appear to be the same as the current version. Most of the other reviews seem to be positive so perhaps I was unlucky and got a defective one. I bought this for an ultralight back packing jacket but definitely would not trust it on a hike in the back country. As far as size, the jacket runs a bit small as it has a sporty fit. If you plan on wearing it as a shell, I would definitely size up. Again, I'm sorry for the negative review as I know Rab makes some good products.

Bought it as a birthday

Bought it as a birthday present for my other half. He loves it, it’s very light and the fabric is stellar. He’d wanted a new one with his old running waterproof having been too heavy and clunky. Safe to say this one is the exact opposite! Very happy.

I love this new addition

I love this new addition to my wet weather gear! It’s so light, & packs up in to such a small pouch it’s perfect to add to my back pack without taking up very much space. I’m not a runner or anything like that, just a keen walker with my dog, this top goes everywhere with me now.

As usual shipped super quick next day delivery, super super light weight and has good practical features, packs down tiny with its own stuff sack, fits perfect I’m 5ft 8, 32 inch waist, 10 stone and ordered a small, arms are very generous length too, enough room to wear a technical t shirt long or short or a thin nexus style fleece underneath.

Purchased for my husband. He says this is a super light weight pull-on that is great for running outdoors in the rain. The shell keeps him dry but allows breathability too. Although it is a tight fit (as you would want to go running) it doesn't restrict movement. Also folds away to be a really small package.

No complaints here. The shell packs down to the size of my fist and is easy to throw in any sized pack for a hike/run/ride. Throw it on when the wind picks up and it's barely noticeable due to great breathability, fit and a bit of stretch. An easy recommendation!
