- Q & A
It is hard trying to find a great glove that isn't too bulky, warm and offers water protection.
I went round and round trying to find another glove for mountain climbing. I don't find I need huge mitt or bulky glove to keep my hands warm, I need something that is somewhat insulated, waterproof and gives you some dexterity with handling ropes and gear.
I have to say I have been super impressed with these gloves, The comfort and warmth is awesome, they are light, easy to get into, the quality is fantastic .
I had used an EB First Ascent guide glove for Rainier and I have pretty much retired the things because of all the little things I didn't care for about them. I have been using OR's Warrant Glove and have been fairly pleased with them. I wanted to get something slightly warmer and a glove that was easier to get my hand in and out of while taking a break on the mountain, This Rab glove does all that I wanted in a glove.
I would highly recommend this glove for a mountaineering glove. It far surpasses other companies gloves in quality, comfort and performance. I am not a wearer of Rab clothing and apparel, but I might start to add in more and more of their clothing in upcoming purchases.
