Don't weigh yourself down on the way up.
The lightweight Rab Women's Ascent 700 Sleeping Bag keeps the weight out of your pack and brings the protection so you can get a sound sleep. Rab's proprietary Hydrophobic treatment protects the 650-fill duck down from moisture to keep you warm through rainy nights, and the windproof Pertex Microlight shell is surprisingly durable for how light it is. The bag's semi-rectangular shape is roomier than standard mummy bags, and an angled footbox offers extra room so your feet don't feel squished. The Ascent also features an internal collar and a drawcord at the hood to seal out any cold drafts, and a zippered stash pocket that's perfect for headlamps. It comes with a full-length zipper on the left side, and a compression stuff sack for backpacking and a cotton storage sack to keep the bag prime for years.

Hand Filled in Derbyshire
Sleeping bags are firmly where we started and they remain a core part of our range to this day. Back in the 1970's when Rab Carrington was making sleeping bags in Patagonia, he probably didn't imagine that 40 years later sleeping bags with his name on them would be used all over the world in some of the most beautiful yet hostile environments.
To this day, we hand-fill our down insulated sleeping bags at our factory in Derbyshire, UK. This allows us to know for definite that, by the time our bags reach our customers, they have never been compressed or stored in a way which could be harmful for the down inside. By filling the bags in house, we can be completely sure that every down sleeping bag that leaves our factory will arrive to our customers in the best possible condition.
Great upgrade from synthetic
I've been looking to get a Rab down sleeping bag for a long time so when I saw this one on sale I jumped on it. My two friends swear by this brand and I think they're totally correct on how good the quality is. I have had a 10 degree synthetic for a long time and after a while I noticed that I was no longer staying warm. The synthetic had worn out. I am always freezing on my camping trips so I wanted to make sure to get a warmer bag. This one is so great. The last 2 times I've used it backpacking its kept me toasty. I also woke up with some mild condensation on top of the bag and it stayed dry inside and also dried out quickly. I'm 5'2" and its a tiny bit more roomy than I thought but its still very comfortable. I love the two drawcords one tightens the hood and the other tightens across to neck area to trap warm air inside. I'm very happy with my purchase.
Rab Hydrophobic Down
In the early days, Rab Carrington built his brand around down insulation, and we still see down manufacturing as a core part of the Rab brand today.
All of our down insulated products are filled with the highest quality Hydrophobic Down, developed in conjunction with Nikwax. The hydrophobic treatment is applied at source and is seen as the next step in our progression in down manufacturing.
