Good bottle ruined by Competitive C.

These are great bottles - they don't smell and the cap has a nice high flow rate. HOWEVER, Competitive Cyclist so thoughtfully sent these to me with giant shipping stickers stuck to the bottles that were IMPOSSIBLE to remove. So now, despite scrubbing, running through the dishwasher and trying rubbing alcohol, the bottles have a permanent dirty, sticky strip on the outside. Get a clue!

Purist and polka dot

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Fit:
True to size

I've been using camelback bottles for years. And the fizz always whistles and drives me crazy. I also don't really like the lack of control when trying to drink on the fly. I would squeeze and it is not enough or squirts out too much. Then there is the plastic bottle taste. I read up on Purist bottles and thought I would give them a try. Competitive had these Purist bottles, at a good price ( I mean they're bottles, there are bike parts to splurge over). I really like the polka dot design, makes me think, hmm lets tackle this climb after a quick drink... The bottle fits well in the cage. I have a small frame and use a side pull. The taste is so far so good. I only used it twice and I will see after several washings, if it still holds up.

Defective and leaky

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

While there seems to be a fair amount of people pleased with the item, it seems I may have gotten a defective one. I do like the ease of use and simplicity, but today was the 4th time it's leaked all over the inside of my bag. It simply doesn't contain the liquid properly, even when I took special care to tighten it and completely close the valve. The plastic threads just aren't water-tight. Bummer.

They don't leak

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I just took these babies on a 320 mile gravel ride and had them in the bottle cages on my front forks and they quickly became my go-to bottles. What I like best is with all of the bouncing around, they did not leak; unlike my Tacx bottles. There may be more in my future...

Great Bottles

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Made in the USA, holds 22oz of water, and is easy to grab out of the cage while riding. What more could you want from a bottle? Love these!

Great bottle, sticker beyond annoying.

It's a fine water bottle, like Purist bottles with other logos. But if the point of a Purist bottle is how clean it is, why would CC slap a big paper sticker on each and every one. The two bottles I received had brittle stickers that immediately came apart, leaving me to fight the glue patch. So, day 1 with the purist bottle involves rubbing it down with petroleum products.

Super nice and minimal

Very light and the perfect capacity for a short ride.

Bottles

The bottle does the job. The bottle comes with a sticker that does not peel off cleanly, it was annoying to remove the sticker and remove the sticker residue.

Simply the Best

This is my favorite water bottle for all the same reasons as everyone else. The silicon dioxide interior finish. And Made in the USA. But I can still get some mold at the bottom (in the corners) if I am not careful -if I don't rinse out and dry the bottle right after my ride. And only put water or Scratch mix inside. (No recovery protein mixes! Use a blender bottle for that.) In sum: rinse your Purist bottle immediately after every ride and air dry, or wash in the top rack of dishwasher and air dry. In bad cases, use a tab of Polident to clean.

Fits my bike

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I needed a bottle that would fit the limited space in my Mtn bike frame and this fit the bill. It also works well with my Dakine hot laps lumbar pack, no need for a full camelback on my local trails.

Good Small Bottle

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Only downfall is simply what is it not: a large bottle. It washes well, looks good, and can get water down your gullet in a very quick manor
