Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The cloth vent covers on the inside of the helmet are useless when it's really cold, the cold air just blows through. In the early spring when there is melt water from the lifts dripping down on your helmet, the water goes through the cloth vent covers and you've got a wet head. Once you're at the top of the mountain you've either got ice in your hair if it's freezing on top or you get a really cold head as you blast down the mountain. I had the older style helmet Giro Nine.NIne before this one, it had a rubberized sheet that plugged all the vent holes. I never once removed that sheet in ten years of use. I wouldn't buy another helmet with vents in, you don't need the venting, it's just a gimmick. I board 35+ days each season. Other than the vent issue, the internal sizing system works well.
