Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I bought the all-white model for a 2 week sailing vacation in Croatia. Within days, the band was rashing my wrists, even on a loose setting. The face ring, which seems to be a seperate piece than the main watch body, is slightly discolored and 'peeling' and there are already signs of rust coming from the band pins. Again, this is all in less than a month of ownership. I would say darker colors would not reveal such poor craftsmanship as quickly, but they will all use the same components. Returned as soon as I was home from my trip, and I'll be leery of Nixons from now on, as long as I'm looking for "waterproof"watches.
On a bright side, all of the functions continue to work flawlessly, and the watch was relatively easy to figure out without a manual. Not a bad looking watch if you will seldom be wearing it in water.
