tonywrote a review of Mountain Hardwear Dynotherm Down Vest - Men's on December 31, 2016
Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fit: True to size
I have mixed feelings about the dynotherm vest.
I found fit to be spot on pocket location etc.
I primarily use the vest as an outer layer with 2 ems powerstretch jackets as base layers.Very lightweight and surprisingly warm. On severly cold days. Ill add a coat over the vest.
The vest is very warm and lightweight.
My only con with this jacket is with the ripstop shell. Keep in mind I am active but not hard on the vest, mainly used to kick around town.
I find the nylon to be very thin(even for nylon)and does not wear well. The nylon has the look of something constantly rubbing against it despite the fact im very cautious with it. I did go ahead and purchase a second vest although I had to think twice, because of the wear issues.Ultimately I love the look ... so went ahead with a 2nd. I purchased both vests in Large because, I wear several layers underneath.
