Familiarity: I've used it several times
On the surface, this 'had' to be great bag. I got it for The High Sierra Trail of 9 days in August. The coldest night was 30 degrees. Wearing a toboggan and mid-weight Capilene, I simply froze. I could see my fingernails through both layers of nylon and the down was NOT consistent with obvious empty tubes. BackCountry's awesome Customer Service made it right, or I would have lost 300.00 on a poor quality bag. I sold Sierra Designs 20-25 years ago and it was super gear. Times have changed and this goes down as one of worst gear failings in my 50 years of backpacking/mountianeering. And, its wide enough below the armpits to put another man, dog, or whatever.
