Familiarity: I've used it several times

I purchased this specifically for two mediums: work & hockey. I debated between this & the 1L size. being it that I'm a "light & fast" type, less=more, this fits the bill. at work I bring hot water with a slice of lemon & to the rink or pond, chai. getting the lemon inside isn't quite the squeeze (he he!) that it is getting it out. it's not hugely problematic, but a wider-mouth certainly wouldn't hurt. I appreciate that the bottom of this vessel. it adequately grips whatever surface it is placed upon. If only this feature were added to the vessel body as to make holding it (with arms full especially) less of a juggling act. the cup itself is well insulated & holds the heat for a good 10 minutes before it turns hot-to-warm. the vessel yields about 3-4 full cups worth, which is good enough to cut the mustard when all you want is hot drink to get the blood flowing. if you're looking to float downstream, I suggest the full liter. cleaning is simple & air dry works best.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

having purchased this mug as an ahem....luxury item...for my fastpack of VT's Long Trail, I've since found this mug has become my premiere frontcountry go-to that I stash in my truck glove compartment. Be it hot chai, pudding on- the- fly, or a sampling of hot soup at the farmers market', this gem effectively retains the heat for as long as I need it to sans adding bulk or weight to my excursion needs. Don't be fooled by what appears to be a chinsy handle, because it's quite resilient. I appreciate how the insulated cover smoothly slides off for times when I prefer a better grip. My sole reservation is the leashless design of the cover-to-mug, but a 'lil ingenuity in this regard gets the job done! All in all, well worth my hard-earned dime & a serendipitous new fave!

Familiarity: I've used it several times

having purchased & used this specifically for my end-to-end hike on VT's long trail, my indie proved a lightweight staple in my layering repertoire. even in summer, when others were hemming & hawing about the wetness & cold, I was happily cozy with the indie as part of my evening & bedtime attire. it is said that like your feet, if your neck is warm, so is your body. i found the most appealing feature of the indie to be it's versatility: I slung it over my head & ears to protect from pesky bugs as I ate my dinner & hours later it added just an extra touch of warmth for golden slumber. my selection trumped it's "buff" counterpart due in part for renowned ibex quality combined with the eco-friendliness of merino wool & it's inherent ability to fend off stench. I foresee my indie in my year-round lineup.
three words: loot. well. spent.

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Fit: True to size

having just purchased this yesterday & test driving it on this cold, ice, blustery thanksgiving, I attest this gem is my new favorite! this is the first (and likely the last) skirt i'll ever own, but if there's one skirt to own, it's this! function & warmth are it's first & last names respectively, abolishing the need to fumble with zippers, buttons and drawstrings in the thick of cold. when nature calls, it's a simple affair, not a dreadful one, and the generous-sized, zippered side pocket conveniently houses my cell, lip balm, and emergency chocolate in a hassle-free manner. I normally wear a medium, and this article is no exception. the adjustable waist lets you dial the fit and the length affords enough coverage to my calves (5'2"). the sole challenge is that being a wrap skirt, on a windy day, it does partially open, but provided your leggings are strategically chosen, you'll cut the mustard and squash the cold like nobody's business. in fact, I like this skirt so much that the forseeable challenge may lay in learning to dislike it so I refrain from buying a second. this is the 3rd montbell item I own, and I'm sold.
