Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fit: True to size

I was a little apprehensive reading some of the other reviews, but am really glad I got these for a two month long backpacking/trekking trip.

They are so lightweight and comfy to wear - they breathe really well - so important for hygiene and comfort!

Washed these several times by hand and they always retained the right size.

I would definitely stock my wardrobe with these if they did not cost as much - but great to take a couple pairs travelling or backpacking.

Sizing : 5'9" 140 lbs, got a medium.

Awesome shorts:

Sizing : 5'9" 140 lbs -- fit very well; not tight, nor too loose. After several wears and no washing, they still retain their size and remain wrinkle-free.

Fabric: beautiful lightweight, thin material that is comfortable to wear in the heat AND these shorts dry so quickly! Perfect if you might be getting wet.

The color I purchased is a deep wine color and while I don't usually buy things this color, I will be now - the color stands out in pictures and looks just awesome. Also goes well with most tops.

Bought these on sale and the value is really great.

These shorts are really great all-around: they look stylish but retain a little bit of a longer length (not so long that they look grandmotherly) - perfect for travel, hiking, and even wearing day-to-day.

One issue is that they are not 100% comfortable when sitting down for extended periods of time. I avoided wearing these when I had hours-long travel on bus or plane as they can ride up into your crotch and you'll find yourself pulling them down repeatedly, for comfort.

Also, great for travel - I took these on a two-month long trip around Asia and while they got some wrinkles over day to day wear, they looked good as new after rolling them up in the pack.

Love the subtle split in the legs and the pockets having a button for security.

The fabric is like a thicker cotton blend - not a quick-dry but comfortable to wear.

Sizing : 5'9" and 140 lbs...got size 5.

Love the top, but....

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Fit: True to size

This is really a lovely "technical" top - good cut (sensible but flattering), nice color, awesome gingko leaf print. And I really wanted to love it since it is the best material (merino wool) you can get for outdoor activities, especially not having to pay retail price.

However - I wore this top on a 9-hour hike and while it remained comfortable through hours of heavy sweating, I noticed significant piling going on in the back where my pack had been touching...and it's not that the pack has any harsh fabric or texture at the area of contact. And I am especially baffled because I bought the Siren top in black and it performed perfectly under identical conditions - none of the piling issues.

Sizing: 5'9", 140 lbs. Size medium fits well.
