When I got the boots I was super excited. They felt solid, looked great, and after some break-in walks around the neighborhood they felt awesome. My feet have never had so much support before. I used them on a 16 mile hike up Mt. LeConte in the Smoky Mountains here in Tennessee. We climbed 4,000 vertical feet, then did some extra trails and came back down. The trail was rocky and many sections were covered in ice and deep snow (I had some YakTracks for the ice). The boots supported my foot well and kept me dry.
Okay, so here's the downside. I have to return them. The rubber on the side of the boots (both inner and outer sides and both boots) is starting to seperate from the fabric where it is glued on. This is due to the flex in the area right behind my pinky toe. Poor design in my opinion.
I'm really bummed since these boots felt absolutely incredible for the price.
