Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fit: Runs small
Height: 5' 11"
Weight: 220 lbs
Size Purchased: 11.5

Just took these for a 20 mile spin with a 50lb pack. First impression was good. Very light, great support for the weight, and great build quality.
The initial few wears around the house left me with the impression that fit was pretty true to size, but BE WARNED! What I couldn't tell until I got some miles on them was that the narrow, almost pointed toe box caused the boot to put a good deal of pressure on my smallest toes on any kind of sustained down hill. I would advise folks with average width feet to consider sizing a half size up, and those with wide feet going a whole size up or to look elsewhere.

I'm getting a half size larger pair on the way ASAP and will update my review when I get some miles on those.

Just returned from what should have been a fantastic trail run at the syncline in WA. Unfortunately, I return broken hearted as my MHW Effusion Jacket liberated itself from my running pack somewhere between mile 2 and 7, and no amount of backtracking and desperate begging other trail users could turn it up.

I already miss my Jacket terribly. In less than a month it had become my goto shell, comforting me on sloppy/sleet-soaked trail runs of several hours in the Gorge, hugging me on the ups and downs of split-boarding excursions on Hood, slipping out for morning training runs, and even hanging around the pad. It hadn't even started to smell yet.

It never got clingy or uncomfortable, sure occasionally things heated up and got a little steamy, but it always breathed through those breathless moments and I never felt like I had to get it off of me right after like all the others; I'd often just bask in the afterglow of my blaze orange shell.

Did I mention this thing was absolutely, completely water proof? And the hood fit like it had been tailored for me specifically, just like the rest of the jacket? Oh, and when the hood was down, the fabric, so soft and supple, just fell down around my neck and sat there like a collar. It was so close to perfection. Sure it doesn't have multiple pockets like the description says, & the pocket it does have down on the hip could have been placed on the chest, I might have preferred that, but that's just nit-picky.

I miss you MHW Effusion Hooded Jacket. I dedicate this review to you. And this song:
Please come back to me. Ouray won't be the same without you.
