These pants are super nice. it's a somewhat stretchy material but signifiantly thicker than my Norrona bitihorn flex1 pants and it's a material that i would guess is more water and wind repellent but it is July and I live in Florida so it'll be a few months before i get a good chance to really see what these bad boys can handle. i am 6'1 and presently about 170-175 LBs and wear a 34 pant. the Large is perfect.

love these pants. i would not do yoga in pants bc that is just not how i like my downward dog, however, these are really comfortable, light weight, and thin, so i can totally see these as being nice in yoga. the pockets are great and for me the fit is not very loose but still they fit loose and though the length is perfect if i was significantly taller these might be too short (i think)

I am a 34 waist in jeans/shorts and loved my Bitihorn Flex1 (non convertible version) so much that i decided to give the convertible pants a try bc I wanted a blue or khaki pair and the regular Bitihorn Flex in blue were not in my size and there was no khaki option.

Even though I was a medium in the others, it was not even close. in these, i there is zero chance of a medium fitting more than a 32 waist - not a chance. After returning my first pair to get a Large I am very happy with the fit. I am 6'1 and 100% these have an extra inch or so of length that i don't need, so if you are taller than i am this may be helpful. In the traditional pair, in Medium, the length was perfect but would have been too short for someone taller than I am.

The features that convinced me to buy these (bc i am biased against convertible pants) are: 1) I love my traditional, Bitihorn Flex1, pants so much; and 2) you can take the pant leg off without taking off your shoes which is one of the reasons i have always hated convertible pants.

the other difference from the traditional bitihorn flex1 pants is that these have two cargo pockets (one on each leg) rather than just the one, and i think these cargo pockets are bigger, though i am not certain.

i will be keeping these and i will try to remember to update this review after i have used and washed them a few times.

I hope this was helpful.

So i wanted to give a review so at least people can get a better idea on sizing.
i am a 34 waste (closer to a 33 than a 35) and i have a different kind of Norrona Flex pants that i wear a size Medium and i therefore just assumed i was a Medium in these. I could not even almost close the pants around my waste. Based on review i am assuming the Large would fit but even then i can't imagine it being a loose fit. Otherwise the fit and finish of these pants is top notch and i am extremely excited for them to arrive. I will update this as soon as i have the Large in hand and get a chance to try them out

I am 6'1 and i am an athletic build that fluctuates between 175 and 180 pounds. I wear a 34 in jeans and shorts. The Mediums fit me perfectly. The length is perfect but it is closer to short than to long, so if you are taller than 6'1 you will need more length and you can use the built in contraption/belt to tighten the pants up. these are exactly what i was looking for - a pair of hiking pants that would be quick drying but because i live in a warmer climate i prefer more breathable and quick drying than less breathable but water proof. I wish there was a blue or khaki option but maybe in a future season. I am super happy with my purchase. anyone else who is color blind may want to know that caviar is black - tricky people in the naming department at norrona

I bought these for an 18 day trip to Argentina bc I wanted just one pair of shoes for both the north and the south (patagonia) and i didn't even own a mid height boot; I always wanted to buy something made by Mammut bc i loved the logo and name. It took about 2 miles of light walking for my heel to work in a perfectly shaped groove. I even took a functional fitness class in these. My toes bashed into some mega rocks and pieces of sharp ice on a glacier, and my toes never felt a thing. i even did a functional fitness class in these. a bit heavy but totally comfortable. as long as the weather was below 80 degrees my feet were happy. At over 80 degrees they became a bit unbearable, but between south Argentina and the north I was going to suffer somewhere. Very happy with the purchase. there is no doubt these are built to last and super comfortable. i am generally an 11.5 in Nike , Adidas, and New Balance running sneakers but needed a 12 in these, keeping in mind that having room in the toe is super important for any type of vertical hiking.

I don't actually own these but i am leaving on a trip soon so in case i don't like the altras i ordered i needed a plan B.

These were super comfortable, however, I am normally a size 11.5 in Adidas sneakers, but in these I needed a 12, so i suggest going up a half a size. I thought these were very comfortable and will have to just trust that Adidas will stand behind their product if it doesn't last or perform.

So I am an 11.5 US in adidas and new balance. although i wear standard width shoes my toe box is definitely on the wider side. I noticed some reviewers, but not many, mentioned the boots were a tad small but no one really explained more than that, so i hope to help those who are having the same issue. for me the 11.5 in these were long enough (my toes had ample room in the tip) but the toe box was a bit too narrow for me. it was not so narrow that i couldn't get my foot in but for a shoe to hike in it really should be a perfect fit. i get that people say these run a tad small and others think they fit true to size, bc really it's that they are a teeny bit narrow in the toe box so for 25% of us we notice and the other 75% get to enjoy an awesome light hiking shoe/boot

i love these bad boys. i am generally an 11.5 in my running sneakers (nike, addidas, new balance, etc.) and am also an 11.5 in these. I think the foot support and materials used are amazing. I do understand the complaint by others about the fabric not being ideal for hiking because it has stretch to it, which is what makes these sandals so darn comfortable, but i understand that these are not the perfect keen sandal for you, if legit hiking is your goal.

these are more expensive than the oakleys i lost and bought these to replace, but sometimes what you want is on sale and sometimes it is not. that being said, these are exactly what i want. i'm not sure that these fancy prizm lenses are nice than my old plane polarized ones but these are super nice and if oakley says they are better then i am willing to trust them on it.

i always have spare polarized sunglasses in the $50 range and got these to replace Oakleys that i lost. These are nice enough and i think the lens clarity is totally fine but when i hold these i feel i paid what they are worth and not that i got some great deal.
