Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fit: True to size

I have worn this one week skiing at Whistler and one week at Winter Park, CO and I love everything about it. It breathes like no other ski jacket I have owned and that is very important to me as I easily get overheated. I would agree with other reviewers that you have to dress a little warmer because of this. This years version (2015) fits great. In the past I have tried on numerous MH jackets and always found the fit funky--tight across the chest and/or bulky in the belly. However, with this jacket they dialed it in. Perfect across the shoulders and waist. I have long arms so love the arm length. I am 6'3" 198 lbs. and got a Large. The quality of fabric and workmanship is superb and love the Azul color. Seems to be very water repellant. The only complaint I have about it is the underarm pit zips are a little hard to get to with a backpack on. Other than that, this is a great ski jacket and worth the money especially if you get it on sale at $350!

I am trying to decide between this and the Norrona Narvik Goretex/Primaloft Gloves. What is the comparable warmth, breathability, durability of the two? Will be using them for skiing in the Pacific Northwest. Also, do they run large or small? I have a large palm but medium fingers. How does the white leather hold up? Thanks

I love the quality and material of the Goretex Performance Shell, it is very light and soft, not like my old Goretex XCR. Marmot quality is evident throughout. I have been looking for a Goretex parka with pitzips and have been impressed with the breathability, comfort and fit of this one. Tested it in 75 degree heat with 74% humidity for about an hour around the house and was perfectly comfortable. While you won't be able to find any reviews for this jacket (I found out that this was made for Backcountry by Marmot and that's why) this is a very high quality jacket for a great price, especially if you can get it on SAC. Can't wait to ski in it this winter!
