Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
The 30 degree Plasma bag is fantastic. It?s my summer back for Alaska(50 degree nights, down to low 40?s). Some other people are complaining about it having a full zipper, a draft collor and a ?pillow?. I don?t see were the complaint is, the bag still weights less then most ultra-light bags. Sure Marmot could have saved weight with a half length zipper, but the bag?s weight is still on par with its competitors. Bottom line: yes it is a full-featured bag, but it?s the lightest full-featured bag and is lighter then most ultra-light bags. Other then that the build quality is superb. While I have only had the bag for one summer, the durability is excellent so far.
The only downside is that it makes me want to upgrade my 15 degree bag to the plasma as well.
