The Hudson Bay wool blanket is the best hands down, but not as soft as I had hoped for. Also the 8pt (King Size) is HUGE! The blanket wool weave is very tight, thick, and dense so don't think you're going to pack it down into a little cute bundle and take backpacking. Its a heavy blanket, like lets say you decide to take it survival camping and only use this blanket and you fold 3 layers over top of you, it's so heavy that it will feel like someone placed a sack of wet hammers overtop of you! Overall the 8pt blanket is the BEST, just not something you want to carry unless you have a pack mule! Please Backcountry stock some 4pt blankets!

I have had several pair of La Sportiva Makalu and Glacier boots (discontinued) and they all have a few things in common, they are water proof, sturdy, and last for several years. They ALL also begin to have issues where the toe rand and sole begin to separate. Every pair I have had has done that, but keep in mind it generally takes a while, like a year or two. I generally wear these boots year round for work, then waterproof them up a little and take them hunting in November. My only complaint is after a couple years of use they breakdown, however I have not ever found a boot to last longer than these. I would say that if you have a quality issue with these boots its a manufacture defect, these should last a long time with no issue. IF La Sportiva stops making this boot it will be a very sad day!!! (just in case I have a few new pair hidden away in the basement... hey the wife has a million pair running shoes and this is my guilty pleasure!)

Great blanket vs the cost. I have a few Hudson Bay wool blankets and compared to this wool blanket there are some differences. Hudson Bay blankets are more dense and not for the sensitive skin types. The Pendleton wool blankets are lighter and softer, and top quality especially when considering the price. IMHO you get more blanket than $$ spent, especially if you can get it 20% off. As for single outdoor sleeping use, I would say that its good down to 52-55F but not any colder. Only complaint is with Backcountry, would like to see more of the twin and half sizes with the other National Park wool blankets... A Queen is a little big to be dragging around a camp fire or throwing in a sleeping bag for that extra comfort.

ZERO flavor! Had 2 bites and that was all I could stand! I mean you get it all cooked up, stir and mix it all in, and it looks awesome until you take that first bit. Your expecting this Thai flavor to just pop in you mouth and then.... nothing, GROSS REALLY! I bought a bunch of Trailtopia meals to try and based on this one meal, I'm returning every one, that might sound extreme but this was one of the worst meals I've had in a LONG time. Luckily I wasn't on a long backpacking trip and had spent the energy packing it up the mountain expecting a great meal. BIGLY DISAPPOINTED!
