Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I was looking for a breathable, waterproof, windproof layer that protects me from icy snowy precipitation and keeps me dry as I sweat on the uphill skin and I have found it. After two six hour days of "billy goatin" through the Green Mountains at high altitudes (for VT) and in both warmish and below zero conditions, I am very pleased with this purchase. I was worried about the pocket (as opposed to pit) zips, but they dump heat just fine, and keep my skins warm on the descent. Can't beat the price for what you get here.
