Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I got this bag a long, long time ago. I don't climb every weekend but it has been on hundreds of crag days and still works great. It's nice that it lays flat, and the colored webbing loops are great for tying off the ends (pro knot is the square knot here, boys and girls.)
I hate carrying any rope bag by the strap, so I usually throw the rope in the pack loose and stuff the bag in beside it. Stuff the bag with the rope inside is OK if you have tons of pack space, but it doesn't pack well in this configuration if you've got even a mildly long approach. Still a good value in the age of overpriced rope bags.
