Can these run tubeless?
Can these run tubeless?
I have been running Selle SMP's for the last year and decided to give the Fabric a try. Put it on last week, only had a ride around the block to see if it was set up correctly, then rode 60 miles with a fast paced group with one stop for water. Unbelievably comfortable! And, the shock absorption from the design can really be felt......meaning very comfortable! The SMP's have the large cutout for the "soft" tissue and after 60 miles with the new Fabric I had no discomfort or numbness........don't know how it works, but its great. Going to buy one for my hard tail mountain bike!
I have ceramic bearings in my Cannondale frame but GPX ceramic is unbelievably smooth......and unlike the other reviewer......my first 75 mile ride on the new Pinarello F8 (see another review) with the new BB was so good kept looking at the crank! Worth the extra money!
As most everyone reviewing the Corsa G's, I ran the Open Corsas and loved them except for the flats. I then ran Open Paves and had better luck with flats but they weren't as fast or smooth as the Open Corsas. I read about Corsa G+ and decided to give them a try. As I live in Iowa, I have only had them out once so far but they appear much smoother than the Open Corsas and the grip was fantastic! We started out at 24 degrees and ended up at 41 and while we were very careful at 24 degrees they never let me down as far as grip was concerned. We ended up climbing 3700' in our short 42 mile ride and the tires rolled up the grades with ease. I know I only have 42 miles on them (winter has come back!) but I truly believe these are really great tires.
I am just recovering from a bad crash that gave me blood on the brain! I had purchased the Smith with MIPS after the crash but before the symptoms of the crash showed up. I have only used the new Smith several times.....great looking and very comfortable. But most importantly it is the safest helmet I could buy and that is very important to me. I also bought one for my wife as her safety is also very important to me.
I used this jacket for the first time yesterday. went out at 32 degrees, came back in with the group about 60 degrees. Extremely comfortable throughout the temp range! The Hi-Vis yellow is a plus for the road! People with the bike club liked the Hi-Vis. I had to change sizing to a XXL because the sleeves were too snug. I couldn't have put a liner under the jacket with a XL. I am 6'3 and weigh approx 195. Heartily recommend!
I purchased them because of the bright yellow for visibility (to be honest!). I have always worn Sidi's and my last Sidi's were the mega's so getting the Mavic's was kind of a gamble. I was pleasantly surprised at the fact that they fit because I did like the looks, but I can't believe how well they perform. They are very comfortable and are very firm on the pedal. Because of my wide feet, I ordered the 13.5 (US), I normally wear a 13. The Mega's have a very wide heal box and these feel snug but comfortable and I believe that contributes to the excellent performance of the shoe. I heartily recommend you try these shoes.
This is the second pair of Sidi mountain bike shoes I have owned (the first pair lasted 8 years!). There is no use trying anything else. They are great. The only thing I did with these is order a wide shoe as my others felt a little tight. Others have mentioned the same thing.
