Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Really LOVE the Tallboy. Climbs amazingly and thus far seems to be able to handle anything short of lift served days. The only letdown is the brakes, they could have used a bleed when the BC guys built the bike. Out of the box they felt spongy, were slow to return and could almost bring the lever to the bars - making my old Elixir 5s look like some high end stoppers.

I love the weight of the fabric, and the length is perfect for my tastes (longer/baggier than expected - am 6'4/36 inseam and ordered large). However, they don't seem that durable and as is I'm doubting they'll make it to the summer riding season. The light blue seems to hold stains, even after washing have faint mud splatter stains (something none of my shorts have ever showed with MANY more miles on them), and the fabric is already fraying/fuzzing up in a spot from what I assume to be rubbing on the seat after only 3 rides on them.

As typical of Castelli products these are well made, but after commuting a few times in weather in the 30-40 range I'd say they are a shoulder season glove. Oddly enough the tips of the fingers get really cold around the seams, not sure if that's based on how the little bit of insulation and Windstopper is added or not.

This is a very nice, high quality jersey. I'm 6'4, 190, 42 chest and the XXL fits very Euro, with enough room to throw a baselayer on underneath. The jersey is a touch short in the front when walking around, which means it's perfect for riding - and as it's cycling gear so I expect to look like a dork when off the bike.

One thing to note is that the Windstopper material stops around the elbows and on cold downhills you WILL feel where it stops.

At the sale price + credits back they had recently it's a no brainer for real Gore Windstopper.

Great bar tape with a touch of that vintage look due to the perforations - reminds me of dad's old tennis racket. Not as padded as some bar tapes, but the color, oh dear lord the color! Bright is an understatement. The attached photo was taken with my dumbphone in a dimly lit room and it still glows like a Fukushima tuna.

Just a heads up - comes with black fork

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I've only ridden the bike once so can't leave an actually give a review worth anything but am just letting folks know that the X-bow comes with a black fork like shown on Ridley's site and not a white one as shown here. Makes no difference to me but given all the matchy matchy I see around town it'll probably matter to someone.
