Familiarity: I've used it several times

It's true, WM is the best bag maker out there. I've been backpacking all my life and finally got a megalite last winter for this summer in the Sierra. My only regret is waiting so long to get one. The temp rating is conservative IMO. Can go lower, especially if layering up with clothes. Quality and workmanship is unbeatable. Packs up super tiny and lofts up big time when deployed. Perfect for my intentions which are 3 season hiking thru the Sierra.

Fit: True to size

Finally pulled the trigger on these after going thru a bunch of other pants that just weren't perfect. These pants are great! Fit was slightly small (mainly because I'm using these primarily for backpacking/talus scrambling). Originally ordered 32/reg, returned for 33/reg and was just right. Nice soft but durable material. I like that the are simple and functional. The internal drawstring is great as I don't want to wear a belt while backpacking. I hike primarily in the southern Sierra where in normal 3 season hiking rain pants are overkill and wet out from the inside. I use these as "around camp" pants, daytime bug protection, or for those sunrise summit attempts when temps are low. These pants are great for all of those conditions. They also look nice as well so no worries about wearing them in town. Just spent a week backpacking in these and they washed nice and clean when I got home after dirt, tree sap, sitting on the ground, etc. The price is a bit high but worth it. Loving these so far!

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: Runs small
Height: 6' 1"
Weight: 160 lbs
Size Purchased: 10.5

Xmas present to myself. Originally ordered size 10 had to re-order 10.5. Customer service was amazing. Made the process super quick and free! Had right shoes within week of original purchase. I've put 300 miles (all trail) on these and I like them. Great on the road .8M to trailhead from my house to the fire-road connector to the technical single-track. Super stable, light, and quick. Very comfy with really zero break in period. Sheds mud well and dries out pretty quick. I would wear these as "everyday" all of the way to JMT with lighter pack weights. Some minor ware on the treads but well within reason. Solid shoe. Thx Backcountry
