Dan Y.wrote a review of The North Face Hedgehog III GTX XCR Shoe - Men's on May 19, 2012
After reading all the reviews on these shoes my wife and I each bought a pair for a trip to Alaska that involved some medium trekking. We tried them here first walking a 2 mile loop on gravel and turf. We made this trip on five occasions and the shoes just did not work for us. They are attractive, lightweight and comfortable at first. Alas, they are so stiff that they strained our leg muscles and rubbed raw places on our feet no matter what socks we tried. It may simply be our foot shapes or some other anomaly, but they are not the shoe for us. We returned them to Back Country and they promptly refunded our purchase price. I have nothing but praise for them. We bought Merrill Moabs and have found them to be delightful.
