My rack consists of just BD cams and Metolius Ultralight Master Cams. The Metolius cams are awesome. They are light, easy to place, have great trigger action and over all feel solid. Getting the smaller ones of these are great substitute for saving money if you do not want to buy BD x4s, these are cheaper but just as nice! These will make your hips and harness happy being nice and light!!

I think every climber should have a Gri Gri and an ATC if you climb in or outside. The Gri Gri is amazing for belaying people on top rope that are working on a hard climb where they will fall a lot and need to rest, the Gri Gri does all the work for you as a belayer and holds the climber with the assisted braking while you sit back and snack. It may take a few times to get use to it since the assisted braking really works well but once you figure it out its so smooth and simple, try it on a few easy routes first. I also prefer to use this if I am lead belaying as well, makes catching a fall much easier on your self.

I climb mostly granite and quartzite out here in SLC, UT and I have found these to be the easiest to place over my BD stoppers, they fit so well in flares and weird spots were nothing else will, and they are rated to 12 kN so they are super strong!

The biner visually just looks sleek and awesome, and with many color options for what ever your use may be! Great price and a strong carabiner for climbing! This is bigger then a camp nano 22 by a little but a little smaller or similar to the BD neutrino for size reference. The colors are on the lighter side compared to the two above biners, so it is easy to see pro I am grabbing on my harness!

The extendable slings on these are a huge advantage, not sure why more people do not make them. I have used the #3 and #4 many of times and they feel so solid and never walk when place correctly. The extendable slings let you carry less heavy quick draws which is super nice on those harder routes!

These are awesome, super lightweight and do not take up a bunch of space on your harness and fit over the shoulder perfectly. The different color carabiners help keep one side of the the draw strictly for the rope and one side strictly for the piece of protection you are using or a bolt, this way one carabiner is always smooth to keep your rope safe and happy. These tend to be most peoples go to and now its sold as a package!

These are some seriously awesome single axle cams! They feel amazing in granite. I think I like the trigger action on these better then most BD cams, its incredibility smooth. If you mix these with BD cams on your rack, you will have a nice range of sizes!

Once you have a good eye for finding cam and nut placements, you will be a master at finding spots for Tricams. These are awesome and light, so you might as well carry them on larger adventures. The fact you can have the option for active or passive pro is so cool, when you need to get some kind of protection in and your goto's are not working, these will save the day!

I have a bunch of the old C4s and I love them, they are the go to for any trad climber and have been around for ever. They finally made some small upgrades making the best cam on the market even better. 10% lighter, more grippy lobes, more trigger grip and all of the same safety features as before. The new trigger locks for sizes #4 and up are a game changer for weight and size reduction on your harness! They also moved the small tag on the sling where it says the kN from the outside to the inside now to prevent carabiners from having clipping issues with the gates. For the price, might as well get the new C4s!

Fit: Runs large
Height: 5' 10"
Weight: 180 lbs
Size Purchased: xl

Great for blocking the sun burn out on those hot climbs, or hikes or days spent in the hot sun. This item runs big and would recommend going a size down. One thing I do not like about this hoodie is the cuffs of the wrists are kind of loose which is a little annoying while rock climbing.

These boots are as stiff as they claim to be and the break in period was a little painful;l at first. The boots once broken in are amazing and can be used as a resort or back country boot. The vibram sole helps a ton while boot packing or skating in lift lines. The lower zipper over the lace helps keep your feet warm and dry all day!

If you plan on leaving your shoes on for hours while adventuring into the unknown, these shoes are perfect for you. They are great for smearing on slabs, climbing cracks, throwing heel hooks and covering your ankles from those scary roof pulls. Awesome for big wall goals and over all comfort. I've even done bouldering and sport climbing indoors with them and have been very happy with the way they preform.
