first, i have to say i'm a loyalist towards patagonia and marmot down jackets, but really liked the way the stone green looked on the site, so decided to give it a try (plus the sale from cyber monday didn't hurt). well, i absolutely LOVE this jacket. first, the color is matte, not like the typical glossy down jackets we're all used to. second, i love the stretch material (it's very similar to TNF's stretch thermoball). lastly, i would compare the loftiness/warmth to the patagonia down sweater with hood, except you're paying much less for this. i don't have any initial observations about it losing feathers yet, so we'll see down the road what happens. i've loved it so much i ordered it in two more colors.

I am such a fan of this coat that I own it in several colors as well as its longer sister version, the Montreaux. It keeps me warm in the frigid tundra that is Manhattan in January and February (along with all of the wind tunnels). I also love how the hood fully covers your head and the faux fur doesn't get in the way of your sight. I own both a small and medium. I can wear a light longsleeve/sweatshirt under the small and a thicker fleece under the medium. I agree that it's a little snug in the chest area (I'm a 36C), but not to the point that it restricts my movement.

Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
Fit: Runs large

Weight: 125 lbs
Size Purchased: S and XS

i bought a small based on the reviews and when i got it, it felt and looked like i was wearing a men's XL. for reference, i am 5'3, 125 pounds. i sent it back and ordered the XS. still felt and looked like i was swimming it in, like a men's L. i didn't even bother sending it back for the XXS. this design is not the most flattering either. i couldn't justify spending $800 on this jacket or any other, for that matter.

this jacket is super lightweight yet incredibly warm. i am 5'3, 125 pounds and usually wear a small in marmot jackets. this fit well in a small as well. I usually wear a long sleeve shirt or light sweater under this. i think a hooded sweatshirt would probably be too bulky. the only criticism i have is that it is a little short, so when you sit down or bend over and the jacket is zipped up, it always rides up, allowing cold air to get in.

i purchased this parka in the olive green and am happy with it. it's kept me warm with the nyc wind, though i think i will need something warmer when the polar vortex arrives. for reference, i'm 5'3, 125lbs, and bought the medium.
