Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

A solid water bottle cage with attractive silver design. I tend to ride on dirt and down the local trails, and nothing is worse that loosing a bottle on a bumpy descent. I haven't had that issue with these cages, and I can still get to my bottle easily. I really like them and they get the job done.

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

It's cheaper to buy all of the items you need for backcountry split boarding at once if your new to backcountry skiing/slitboarding. This stuff seems to be super nice. This is coming from a newbee.

The shovel:
I have used the snow shovel for winter backpacking once. It's all you could want from a snow shovel: it fits in the pack very nicely and its super durable and collapsable. And I love the blue finish.

Beacon:
I've read through the manual and turned the beacon on and have initial impressions. It comes with batteries. It seems super nice. I will be using it in an avi 1 course in a few weeks. I did some research and it has a few extra features that aren't available on all snow beac models. It comes with a chest harness making it very secure and accessible while using.

The Probe:
Also very nice durable, sexy, and packable. There is a thick wire cable running through the thing and it packs down into a mesh bag with a zipper. The feel makes me think it will last for many years.

I'll try to update this review once I use these items later this spring.

I got this for winter mountain travel. Its lightweight and durable. A mistake I made was this: I didn't know it came with a leash so I bought one separately. It comes with one.

This parka keeps you cold in subzero weather in the backcountry at night. It is very comfy, and compresses down to a very small size compared to what it is when you are wearing it. Be careful around camp fires. I built a fire a few nights back while winter camping and was very afraid an ember might put a hole in it. It's something that's very nice and you might not want to wear it to a bond fire.

I got these as a secondary glove for winter camping. They are step up from my liner gloves. When I put them on they remind me of my leather work gloves in the summer. They feel very durable. They are also warm. I especially like the leather sewn in grip on the palms. I’m thinking they might be good enough to use while belaying in cold weather, but have not tried it out yet. Also plan to use them on really cold days for running in the winter time, and maybe for bike riding in cold weather.

These gloves are the best gloves I’ve ever owned. I took them winter camping for a few nights up in the mountains and they are very warm. When I was cooking at night whenever my hands got cold from doing dishes and melting snow, I would put these babies on and my hands would be warm again within minutes. Here are a few features that are nice: high quality and durable make, very warm, the bottoms are long to keep snow out from your wrists, and they include bands around the wrists so you can take them off without worrying about dropping them. My advice is to buy some liner gloves to go with them. I plan on using them as primary handwear for snowboarding this spring. When you buy them make sure you use the hand chart or go in and try them on with a liner glove. In my first attempt to buy them I was a size too small, so I had to go through the process of exchanging them for the correct size.

I just went winter camping up in the mountains at Uninta Wasatch Cache National Forrest. I wore this at night when sleeping and it kept me very warm! Its warm but lightweight, compressible, and comfortable to wear.

Gone are the messy old days of scrubbing on my chain with a brush only to get filthy and not really get my chain perfectly clean. This things is simple in operation, just snap it on the chain with cleaner and spin the crank, and effective in getting your chain squeaky clean without splattering old grease and dirt in every direction. I love it.

I really appreciate having these durable gloves around whenever I am working on my bike. I can now clean my drive train or scrub down a greasy cassette with out getting my hands filthy, and the added thickness of the material, means you won't punch through the glove if you catch it on something. Highly recommend for the home mechanic.

I love this helmet. It is lightweight and comfortable. With the easy adjust wheel in the back of the helmet, I can snug it quickly to my head and forget about it. It has plenty of vents to keep you cool when things get hot which I am looking forward to in the summer heat, and the helmet itself has a classic and stylish look. I am very glad I ended up getting this helmet.

One of the best baselayers I have ever owned. Not only is the inside comfy but it is so warm. When I first put this on, I immediately noticed it trapping heat and warming me up, but it also breathes enough that I can leave it on and not suffocate in a sauna. I can wear these under my un-insulated ski pants and stay warm without trouble. I typically wear mediums and this was no exception. It fit great. It has a slim snug fit but with out being to form-fitting or revealing. These keep me warm without being too bulky and on frosty days, I can wear them under a pair of pants to stay warm and comfy. My new go-to baselayer.

I can easily throw it on and just wear it as warm top in my everyday life or I can use it as a toasty layer to keep me warm on the ski hill. It is so versatile. In particular, I love the hoop which fits perfectly under my bike and ski helmet to keep me warm without being too bulky. My only complaint is that getting the zipper to fully zip can be a little bit of a hassle.

I love these pants. They aren't quite as slim fit as I was hoping but the straight fit is not too baggy or loose. The fabric is comfortable but also super bomb proof, leading me to believe these are going to be some pants I can hang on to for years to come with out worrying about durability. They have just enough stretch and room that I can use them for climbing or biking but stylish enough I can wear them for a night out no problem. The 32 waist is a perfect fit and the regular 32 inch inseam is a little long for my personal leg length but nothing too bad. Overall, I am digging these pants and looking forward to using them as a workhorse pants in my day-to-day life.

A nice lightweight helmet with good ventalation that fits snugly to my head. I haven't taken any massive bangers to the head to really test the MIPS, and I am hopping not to, but I like what Giro is doing with the technology. The liner is comfortable and rotates inside the helmet to protect against rotational forces if I really eat it. Overall, the helmet is comfortable and stylish and fits with my Smith googles just fine. I am a big fan of this helmet

I have spent more time that than I would like to admit with out a good pump, so I love having Blackburn's solid floor pump with high airflow, brains-off valve compatibility and a quality psi gauge. It's got great construction and pushes around a lot of air so I don't have to break a sweat just to fill up my tires. The hose is stored conveniently on the stand and out of the way.

One of the best pumps I have owned and I love it.
