Familiarity: I've used it several times

I was working my way through slowly upgrading my bike to Ultegra r8000 and decide to go for new brakes since the price for the pair was what others charge for just one caliper. 500 wish miles in they stop very well and have decent fine control of braking power. I am running them on 25mm gp4000 on 17mm internal width rims and they clear just fine. about a week ago a truck made a left turn in front of me about 20 yards away where I was going about 24 ish mph. I defiantly was able to stop faster than I anticipated and didn't run into the side of a car so I'm defiantly happy with them and have a good amount of confidence in there braking abilities. Oh and they look dam good to with there combo of matte and glossy black/grey color

I was changing wheels and wanted to go to a wider cassette for long climbs in my previous short cage 105 5800 I was happy with. I wanted to go up to an 11-32 cassette and so I went with the Ultegra long cage and it shifts fast and crisp as I could ask for and was easy to install. as far as performance it is defiantly worth the price difference to me and it handles the 11-32 cassette well and at some point ill probably try it with an 11-34.

as far as during the install in the box you will get a new cable housing end and there are directions on how to route the cable as it was different than the previous 105 RD. the new cable path was defiantly shorter as I tried of a good bit of cable. adjustments are pretty straight forward to getting it tuned up and running like it should.

upgraded my old 105 5800 FD to the new Ultegra 8000 and it is a noticeable difference. The cable path was a little weird to understand at first but once you see a photo of it setup it makes perfect sense. The built in cable tensioner is a nice touch and let me get rid of the inline barrel adjuster I had with my previous front derailleur . No complaints with performance it shifts excellent and faster than I expected the front derailleur to and was surprisingly easy to get dialed in.
