Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Tried it on hiking, biking, climbing, and cardio workouts. Combined with my GPS I was able to better adjust my goals when out hiking and backpacking. I usually don't have trails to hike on so knowing time and distance is important. Info for mountain biking rides is great especially elevation changes. Only need a remote battery charger for my weeklong hikes.
