Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

You know how it is, always thinking what might eek a bit more performance. For years, I've used speed play pedals and appreciated the fluidity and ease of enter and release. So, one day, I'm imagining that perhaps there's a small amount of energy transfer lost in the process, so, how 'bout trying a wider platform and firm grip of Shimano DuraAce pedals? Well, I'm not sure if that's achieved, but what I do notice is a firmer sensation in the pedals and the trade off seems to be a stiffer enter and release. I need to pay attention to this! -- Even though I've backed off the adjustment screw on the Shimano pedals. Generally, I'm sticking with these pedals, but on the relaxed 'putting in the miles' type rides, an easier enter/release system has it's peace of mind advantages.

Last bib shorts purchase, I read reviews on Bikeradar and was introduced to Ale 2.0. Great shorts, but side graphics broke up and looked trashy after just a few washings. These Giordana shorts are so much better in overall fit and quality. Good compression, fit, price, fabric and look. Yes, and no trashy looking graphics. A quality bib.
I'm 150 lb, 5'9" (bought M) and ride approx 200 mi/wk (road). Recommend.
