Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size
Height: 6' 2"
Weight: 190 lbs

When I first got these they fit almost like skinny jeans (I have thicker legs). They still had plenty of stretch and didn’t interfere with my climbing. After wearing them a few times over a few weeks they stretched a little to a more relaxed fit all around but the waste stayed perfect. I’ve had them for a few months now and been pretty rough on them and they are still looking good.

I use this device primarily for rope solo. I’ve been using it on a 9.9mm dynamic rope and it glides and catches great. I previously used it on a much older rope with a LOT of stretch and it still held when the rope got to its thinnest (I weigh almost 200lbs and that particular rope got super thin on my weight) I would not recommend working projects with this device as the teeth are very aggressive and could easily damage the rope with repeated falls. I just ordered a static rope to start using to spare my dynamic rope for sport and trad. Also unweighting this device after a fall on a dynamic rope can be a bit of a task. I use it as my primary for laps on routes I know are well within my abilities and new routes just under my pushing level so I don’t fall too much on the rope. I would recommend a slight extension if you’re doing a route that requires any downward motion to avoid having to adjust the ascender or sitting on the rope - maybe just a short dog bone. Overall this has allowed me to climb far more than I could when relying on partners and it has never dropped me or gotten distracted by a dog on the trail.

This bag is the perfect bag for sport climbing. I get all my gear, sport rack, rope, shoes, harness, water, small snack, and guidebook all inside the bag and it is exactly right. If you’re taking a trad rack or extra gear you’ll need to put the rope on the outside; it carries comfortably when doing all. I’ve hauled it up about a dozen or more times now and have no real signs of ware - and most of those include leaving the arm and waste straps hanging out. It is also incredibly waterproof. I’ve been through a couple heavy showers with this on my back and everything inside stayed dry.
My only problem with this bag is the exposed drawstring closing system. Gear is always getting caught on it. The plastic sliding bit will easily slip through the front loop making the problem worse.

I got a few of these for different uses and have tested them a lot. They are a great, light locker. Perfect for belay devices or anything not too strenuous on the frame of the carabiner. I built a quad anchor with 4 of these. They are fine for the ropes but the bolts did a lot of damage to them and I didn’t trust the as my anchor points. Everything else they are fantastic.
