Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size
Height: 5' 10"
Weight: 200 lbs
Size Purchased: Large

A few years ago all I wore were cotton socks. I tried a pair of Smartwool socks and ever since, wool is pretty much all I own. I'm completely converted. This pair is pretty consistent with other Smartwool products. You can't go wrong. This pair is a bit on the lighter side so its appropriate for business attire and casual wear. No signs of durability issues despite its lighter build. Also acceptable for outdoor activities, though you may want to look into something with more thickness or padding for more rugged use especially in colder weather. Overall though, they are cool in summer, warm in winter. A very comfortable, natural feeling coziness all year round. Very comfortable and breathe well. No itch (though, people with allergies beware - my wife can't handle wool socks despite her loving the feel and fit). My favorite part is how quickly they dry. You can hand wash or put them in a gentle cycle and simply hang them somewhere. They'll come out the wash feeling nearly dry and will be completely dry in a few hours. I've worn Smartwool from conference rooms to the mountains and can't recommend them enough. Also I bought and reviewed 2 pairs at the same time and things were consistent enough to reuse a lot of the text from the review on both.

This pair is pretty consistent with other Smartwool products. You can't go wrong. It has a light to medium thickness which is appropriate for business attire with a suit, though might be a bit on the heavier side, as well as outdoor activities though maybe not as padded as some more specialized pairs. Overall, a good jack of all trades pair. They are cool in summer, warm in winter. A very comfortable, natural feeling coziness all year round. Very comfortable and breathe well. Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is just a beautifully engineered product. Mostly everything on it feels solid and well placed. The newer version comes with much more light than the previous one so note the year made when purchasing. However, its still missing the punch of a device with larger batteries. Its not going to light up a campsite. But for AA its pretty decent. Puts out plenty of light for a single person, table, or tent in a convenient size. The overall quality, good enough power, and convenience of AA had me buy a second for my wife so I would definitely recommend it.
