Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size
Got for fall, winter, and spring hiking.
I've used them in wet, muddy and snowy conditions. My feet have never gotten wet while wearing them.
I've crossed shallow creeks and hiked in snow for my hikes so far. A couple times they looked drenched from the elements, but my feet have stayed warm and dry. Put about 35 trail miles on them and I'm happy with them. The sizing is weird for me so with double socks the fit is perfect. I normally wear a size 10 1/2 wide but got a size 11.
I hear a lot of complaints on the durability of the eyelets for the laces breaking - I just loosen my laces when they are sitting not being used and they seem like they will last if I take care of them.
*Keep my feet dry
*Protective toe and shoe is pretty heavy duty
*The aggressive tread gives great grip on rocks and mud
Happy with this purchase and my mom thinks they look great!
