A good all around (& good looking) tire
5 5

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Ordered these in 2.4 for my trek fuel ex8 29er. The skinwalls look great on the all black bike, and the tires perform well. Set them up tubeless, and they bleed very little sealant initially. They have held up very well in the interior/Kootenays of British Columbia on everything from flat and dry to steep and muddy to rocks to roots and also roll fast on the pavement. No flats yet, wear evenly, no complaints, would purchase again. They also come on sale once in a while, which always helps!

Familiarity: I've used it several times

Ordered this to go in my backcountry/splitboarding pack. A great addition to any pack, with a small weight penalty. I have 2019 Burton hitchhikers and all the hardware will work with my bindings. You weight weenies can further streamline the kit by eliminating a couple of the pieces you could get by without, but overall the kit is very light and complete; and could save a long jimmy-rigged skin out in the event of a binding failure!

Comfy, basic, good.

Fit: True to size
Height: 6' 1"
Weight: 165 lbs
Size Purchased: Large

Ordered this in the blue wing teal heather colourway. It’s lightly heathered, has a wide bottom hem, and is a ‘regular’ fit but has good length. I’m a taller, lanky guy with long arms and a slim build, and it fits well. 6’1”/185cm, 163lbs/75kg, with a 38.5”/98cm chest and 32”82cm waist, and based on the size chart I should have gone with a M. I ordered a L, washed it in warm and dried on hot, it shrunk a slight amount and now fits perfectly- not baggy, not too slim, not too short. Could have probably squeezed into a M but it likely would have sat right at the top of my pants, which looks kind of goofy. Sewn well, basic logo, soft fabric, all around good!

Edit- why do backcountry reviews add a bunch of special characters when the review posts!? ‘’’
