Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size
I live in northern Minnesota, and put this on when it gets scary cold. It was -17F this morning. This jacket is like wearing a sleeping bag that fits well. The pockets are all in the right places, and the zippers are bomber. This is very much a summit jacket, and yet it still compresses well to carry it until you really need it. Highly recommended for cold temps. The hood is great, and stays out of the way until you need it. And it is removable, if you you know you won't need it.
