Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size

This is truly a lightweight helmet. Its very comfortable and I quickly forget that it is even on. The venting is excellent (summers are hot and humid here). The straps are narrow and not as rough as my previous helmets (including the old Ionos model). The Roc Loc system adjusts easily and is effective at holding the helmet in place. The only bad thing I can say about the helmet is that it is overpriced. But so is most cycling gear.

Familiarity: I've used it several times

This jersey is fine for layering under a light jacket on colder rides. However, despite sharing the FormaRed name, the fit is more relaxed and the details are not to the same standards. For instance, the arms lack the elastic seals at the wrists that the standard FormaRed use which makes the jersey more drafty. The pockets also lack the same elasticity of the standard FormaRed. This is a fine jersey, just not for the price. Given the same price as the standard FormaRed, I'd recommend standard FormaRed. I much prefer my FormaRed jerseys for overall comfort and fit.

I wear the long sleeved FormaRed jersey regularly on cold day. Extremely soft and comfortable fabric that is form fitting and doesn't flap in the wind. Perfect jersey for temps in the 50s to upper 40s (with a vest). I prefer this jersey for my longer rides because I forget that it is even there.

Its not the most stylish jersey out there but it performs the way I want it to. The zippered pocket is an added bonus for storing keys and other important items (like ID).

I've been a fan of the FormaRed Bibs for years. That is, until last year. Giordana really dropped the ball on the 2014 line when they dumbed-down the materials (no doubt to promote the Exo line). Really disappointing.

Out of previous loyalty, I thought I'd give the 2015 line a chance. I'm glad I did. Giordana appears to have learned their lesson. The materials are sturdy and high quality. The compression claims are legit. These shorts have the most compression of any FormaRed model that I have tried. The shoulder straps are a significant improvement over the previous year's model (although still not as good as 2013) and I don't notice them while riding. As always, the insert is top notch.

These are my go-to shorts for longer rides. The fit is standard Giordana. Yes, they feel slightly tighter than previous models but that is what compression is all about! I recently purchased several more pairs during the latest sale - just in case.

UPDATE: Having bought several pairs of these bibs, I've learned that the stitching around the insert is consistently failing in the inner thigh area within a year. Not what I was expecting for this price. I will not be buying these again. This is strike two for Giordana for me. The trend in overall quality is not their friend (and this is coming from a long time Giordana customer).
