Height: 6' 0"
Weight: 175 lbs
Size Purchased: Large

Number one, sizes larger. I usually get a XL with NF, Patagonia, Marmot, etc but with MH a large is fine. Second, I've been looking for a bada$$ power warm but skiable hooded parka if you get caught in snow and don't want the down problems and found this one finally...unbelievable...one of those pieces where they didn't skimp on the small stuff - inside of front pockets are fleece lined for a nice warmth, dual front chest pockets, two inside pockets, hood 'flaps' tuck in to avoid flopping around if it's down (hard to explain, but i couldn't figure out how to secure the hood and then realized the flaps tuck inside and there's velcro in there to hold the flaps in (genius!). It's hip length but not too long, puffy but not obnoxious, and the hood is removable which is a huge plus because it's absolutely helmet compatible for even an NFL player or nuclear scientist....Seriously, I have 50 jackets minimum for every condition and climate and have not been able to solve the turbo warmth problem with such a complete piece. You could stand outside waiting for a bus in zero degree temps and not have a better jacket, or bust it down a run in nasty wind and not feel a thing. Buy it before they sell out....I'm telling everyone I know to grab one.

Have some nice Marker, thick, heavy ski pants but wanted something lighter and picked up the ski version of these (snowshot, just not free ride). Awesome! Love the vents in the legs. Tested them on two days where i brought my Markers just in case these weren't warm enough and they were fine with medium long underwear underneath.

Pretty thin but functional fleece. Very breathable. Wore it as a layer when it got really cold skiing and was a nice addition to the lineup in that it provided a very functional layer to add warmth without bulk. Not something you're wearing solo on a windy or cold day, but don't think that's what it was designed for. Sale price is a good buy, but the full retail is a bit high for the value.

I usually wear an XL in everything and i had to return this to get a L. Got the microchill too and same thing. The Super Compressor is the warmest jacket I've had (have Patagonia, Marmot and NorthFace jackets). Wore it on a walk this morning and it was below zero, just to test it in nasty cold and wind. Suffice to say, I literally had to unzip it to cool off a bit. If you want to be warm, this is your jacket!

Second one of these I've purchased. Gave one to my son at college because he lost my old marmot. This was better than my marmot and I'm a huge fan of theirs. Wore this in a pouring mountain rain stuck outside for a good hour+ and emerged completely dry. Really pleased with waterproof aspect. The hood is helpful and it's overall typical high quality Patagonia. Can't go wrong.
