Road and trail runner. I try and get out all 4 seasons. Though SoCal only has 3 seasons.

Familiarity: I've used it several times

So far, I've only boiled water for coffee during car camping trips with the boy scouts. It performed well. Thought the directions were a little confusing, but I figured out how to change from the default canister fuel to the bottle fuel after figuring out where the jet was suppose to be installed. Can't wait to try this summer on some over-nighters in the backcountry.

Fit: True to size
Height: 5' 6"
Weight: 135 lbs
Size Purchased: Small

Just used on a backpacking trip in cold and rainy conditions. Worked well under a shell. It was pretty comfortable to wear sleeping inside the sleeping bag as well. Best for cold fall/winter/springs days as it's medium to heavy weight fleece.

Perfect for small to medium faces. Very light weight despite glass lenses, which I have preference for. I got the shiny dark tortoise, which is significantly darker than the image on the site.

Website color is yellow, but it's a bit more orange. I guess Harvest yellow, or the color of the autumn moon is closer. Feels a little room up top, or I need to work out my chest a bit more, but the arm holes poof out a bit on the back. Seems like an extra small would be a better fit, but got it with an extra 20%, so beggars can't be choosers.

As it's the middle of summer, in a heat wave and drought, I have not actually used this yet. But it feels like it should do it's job.

On the trail and off, this has enough wind breaking to keep the chill at bay but breathes well being a soft shell material. There is a nice pocket with a pocket on the right side that will hold things like keys or media play without them banging around.

I have too many red and black stuff, so I got the blue. It's a bit on the bright side for me, but I guess that's good for visibility.

I think if if the option was there, I would have tried on an XS instead of the small. There is a lot of room inside - enough for a base layer, mid layer and full puff down jacket. So if you're thinking about using lots of layers, this will work.

Regarding rain protection and breathability, it's fantastic. Took it out for the first rain run of the season. It wasn't torrential conditions, but there was a steady stream coming down. Kept me dry and just as important, I did not feel clammy from my own sweat.

So despite the overly generous athletic fit, i'm going to stick with the 5 stars because it performed so well.

Bought this for the wife. It has a nice fitted cut and color was not too bright (bought the berry jam). Warmth to weight ratio is excellent.

Only issue is packing it into the pocket. It was not easy. Was a bit worried the zip would break while trying to pull it close.

Running in the fall and winter in SoCal is mostly a windy affair. The temperatures are mild in the upper 50's to low 60's. This Vest will get you through your and keep you feeling comfortable.

Fit: snug but that means it can double well as a mid layer
Breathability: the back is mostly mesh, so venting is not an issue.
Warmth: it's minimal, but it does it's job of being windbreaker, so you don't catch a chill.
