Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Fit: True to size

The Marmot Minimalist pants so far have worked well on a Maine hut to hut snowshoe/hiking adventure. They are light and very comfortable. Never felt restricted in movement and they pack up small. Not sure on durability or waterproof because had good weather. But they did handle the wind well and my legs were not cold with proper layering. Fit is good but ankle zippers could be a little longer to make getting off or on over a boot easier.

Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

The scree pants appeared great and of good quality but fitting is difficult. My waist is about a 31 and tried the 32 reg but I was swimming in them and did not want to be hiking and mooning people down the trail. Sent them back and tried 30 reg. The 30 reg fit better at waist but the crotch area was too tight making it look as though I was heading to the disco. Not the look I want hiking or relaxing. So had to return them. The pants would have been great other wise but Marmot needs to make more sizes to get a better fit.
