Tim M.wrote a review of Big Agnes Copper Spur HV UL2 MtnGLO Tent: 2-Person 3-Season on June 12, 2018
I finally got around to using this tent. i like that it is pretty roomy for a 2-person, the MtnGLO is great feature without adding much weight and compatible with USB phone chargers, has tons of convenient pockets, is airy even with rainfly, and worked well in the rain. the triangle MtnGLo gear loft provides nice extra light and I like the bottom pocket to stash my wallet and phone, while still having the main loft part to stash stuff.
what I dislike are: My biggest complaint are the zippers. the zippers are not one handed operation, because they constantly get snagged on fabric when trying to unzip and zip on the rainfly. The zippers are also not one handed operations on the tent either; i do not like the tent zipper being opposite of the staked out rain fly zipper, so you cannot quickly ingress/egress since you have to crawl under the staked out rainfly flap to reach the tent zippers. I really dislike the cross pole having to rest ontop of the other poles without any protection between the metal. the flap retaining toggle and loops are positioned too low on the pole and should be higher up so you don't have to fidget to get it just right. Again, not a one handed operation. The loop for the flap toggle is a loop of flat flmsy nylon, so you have to fidget to get the toggle in, especially when wet. the matching footprint doesn't have adjustable straps, so when poled the footprint doesn't remain taught and you cannot tighten it. the rainfly guy lines are too short which limit options for staking. I would have prefered the pole clips over the velcro pole tabs so I don't need two hands to attach. And of course, the included tent stakes are useless.
The 3triple A batteries for each MtnGlo and the flimsy plastic non-weatherproof battery housing is disappointing. A single CR123A, a flat lithium watch type batteries or a rechargeable battery pack like for mobile phones would be lighter and more durable. Also being able to use one power source or being able to daisy chain MtnGlo accessories would be useful.
