Stylish Sweater for Athleisure Wear
3 5

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Fit: Runs small
Height: 5' 4"
Weight: 120 lbs
Size Purchased: Small

I was given this product from Backcountry, but this review is my personal opinion. The Basin and Range Color Blocked Long-Sleeve Sweatshirt is a transitional clothing piece that can be worn from adventure to city-life seamlessly. It does provide warmth as well but is not functional as an under layer should you need to bundle up more. The Sweatshirt fits high and slightly tight around your neck and is cropped/high raised in the waist area. It is the definition of athleisure attire and very fashionable. When wearing it on its own on adventures I stayed dry and warm, it was not possible for me to layer it which is limiting for me personally. I would recommend this sweatshirt for those who want a versatile piece that can be multi-functional from the trail to the park to the brewery and back. However, be mindful of the boxier fit.
Sizing – it was true to size in some areas but definitely had a boxy fit and was tight in the neck and almost felt too high. It was also cropped in the waist.
Usage – I used this for hiking but would recommend more for leisure wear to the park and around town.
Quality – the Sweater is built well and very sturdy.
Accuracy – the product was received exactly as pictured.
Overall, I rated the Sweater a 3 our 5 stars as it is cute and stylish, has function although not a function I have a great need for and is somewhat true to what is pictured. Ultimately though, the fit and shape was not fitting for me personally.

Basin and Range Down Jacket
5 5

Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fit: True to size
Height: 5' 4"
Weight: 120 lbs
Size Purchased: Small

I was given this product from Backcountry, but this review Is my personal opinion. I put the Basin and Range Down Puffy to the test by wearing it outside of city lifestyle settings and instead took it to the mountains where I hiked in the snow and cold of Colorado. The jacket has a slight crop in the waist/torso area so I was admittedly apprehensive to how it would hold up and protect against the elements. I was beyond pleasantly surprised while hiking when I had to delayer other protective items like my gloves, beanie, etc because the Basin and Range Down Jacket quickly proved its worth. I was not only warm but I was comfortable which is what I seek most in any adventure gear. The Basin and Range jacket was soft, durable and flexible. It is now a forever staple item in my outdoor attire.
