These are a great winter / cool weather pant. They stretch in all the right places. The material does a great job of fighting back wind and rain and the zip vents on the side are great for letting out heat on climbs. I'm a huge fan of zippered pockets so you don't lose things on hikes and these pants have no shortage of those. Fjallraven definitely has a winner in their Keb Touring Trousers.

Have worn these on a couple 15+ mile hikes in varying temperatures and absolutely love them. After my first hike in my first pair, I bought 4 more pair. The shorter boxer briefs tend to roll up on my thighs when I hike, but the 9" are perfect and stay put.

These are only rated 2 out of 10 for warmth according to the packaging and I've found that to be true. Great protection from wind and the leather palm is holding up nicely for rock hopping and such when hiking. The fit is nice and snug and the gloves aren't bulky so you have a lot of manual dexterity while using them. I've had these down into the teens and they are just barely warm enough if I'm keeping active, but they won't keep you warm for long if you stop moving and start to cool down. If you have to take them off for long, don't plan on them warming up your hands when you put them back on. Very solidly built glove though and good for milder weather. Would buy again.

I have a couple of Smartwool 250 Merino Wool gaiters and love them. I purchased this one expecting a longer version of the ones I have, but there's a big difference. The shorter merino wool 250 gaiters have an inside and outside layer of merino so two layers, but this is just a single layer. It's still a useful item and is long enough to make more of a balaclava under a beanie, but was disappointed it wasn't double layered like it's shorter brother. It will probably get left behind more than taken with.
