I have always struggled with winter trail gloves. They never fit snugly enough, I can't do anything with them on and an constantly pulling them half off then back on, and of course I can't use my ever present smart phone easily. No more- problem solved! I have biggish hands for a girl but I still got the small so I'd have a snug fit. It's really easy to work my pack zippers, open bottles, etc with these on too. And most importantly, the e-tips work and I can use the iPhone with no problems. I like that they can clip together so I won't lose one. They are not the warmest gloves, but they keep my hands comfortable enough. Well designed- I wish I had an extra pair, because I will wear these out.

Here in Virginia I rarely need anything warmer that this. It packs down small, is easy to carry, and I just layer underneath if it gets really cold or throw on a hard shell overtop it if it rains. I can wear this with a t-shirt under it down to lower 40s. I have dragged it everywhere for about a year- including multiple hikes thru the Shenandoah NP, the White Mountains, and other adventures. I rarely leave home without it. I'm 5'7, about 156, and I bought a M so I'd have plenty of room for layering, and I like my jackets a little roomy. The fit and adjustability of yhme hood is great. I agonized between this jacket and the MH Ghost Whisperer, but found this on sale for so much less it was a no brainier.

I have dragged this thing all over the place for the last year. I've slept in the tent overtop grass, dirt, rocks, sand ... You name it. It's gotten as cold as below 10 degrees and this pad has been the bomb. The look on my daughters face when she woke up on a 10 degree morning and slipped out of her sleeping bag onto the cold tent floor was priceless- I think she thought the Expeds were a comfort only item up until then. The trick with these is to get a pump bag to blow them up with and carry them in. They blow up fast with the pump bag. For the price they are Exped should include one. The mini pump is useless, save your money. They are unbeatable for comfort. I'm a side sleeper and am truly comfy on the trail.
