Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
The XL cyclone compression sack worked out even better than I had hoped for my Wilderness Technology self-inflating sleeping pad. The pad is great but only flaw is it swells a bit after rolling it up, closing the valves and placing the elastic bands around it. This swelling contributed to the ripping of the cheap stuff sack that came with it. After a few years of just throwing it naked into the back of my truck I came across this Alps Mountaineering compression sack. It is as if the sack was made for my sleeping pad. The XL is the perfect size for it to slide in easily, the horizontal compression straps assist with the swelling issue and the vertical strap lets me lock down the lid to the bag after cinching it closed. The material is great, not too thin or thick and feels durable. Could not be happier.
