Not really a question but more of a info post for other prospective buyers. I just bought this from Backcountry and while one of the posts on this page says it can produce up to 70 watts, the box says different. Specifically for lighting, it provides about 235 lumens. For heating purposes, it provides 300 watts / 1100 BtU/h. Haven’t tried it yet but I will in a few days.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Used these on our honeymoon last summer touring the national parks. They helped us keep our tent when we were in North Dakota during a wicked strong storm which later produced a 1000-year flood back home on the south shore of Lake Superior.

Love this pan. Took it on our honeymoon touring the national parks. Distributes heat well and the detachable handle functions well. Fits well with our MSR Alpine 2 pot set and nests directly under the 2L pot while still fitting the bag that the pots came in. Just wish MSR would make a larger version of this that would be good for a bigger family, one that could nest under the 3L pot of the MSR Alpine 4 set.

Fit: Runs small
Height: 5' 10"
Weight: 172 lbs
Size Purchased: Large

I've only had a it a week but so far I'm enjoying it. I have it in red and blue...they look and wear well. I was at first worried about the fabric piling while looking closely at the fabric during wear...but at a distant the shirt looks just fine. I normally wear a medium and sometimes a large...for this a large fits perfect. Haven't had them long enough to determine wicking/breathability since it's winter and I wear these at work in the office. My goal with these shirts is to have a bike commuting shirt that also works well in the office and also multi use for outside of work. I do like how they haven't wrinkled much in my little experience which makes it's a plus for traveling. I wish they had more variety of colors offered...the new green version recently released looks cool. I will comment later once I've had more time with it.

I have a 2008 Honda CR-V, which landing pads would work with the factory fixed point roof? I think there's already spots in the roof panel for these but am not sure, looks like 4 inserts that are removable.

I live in the snowbelt of the midwest and recently have worn out a pair of trusty all-weather gloves that I've had for 8 years. Those gloves served me extremely well in all conditions. This summer I picked up a pair of newer but similar gloves. After the first month of 10 degree and lower weather the gloves just couldn't keep up. So I went searching and with my experience of merino wool clothing, I searched for wool gloves/mittens. The reviews I found for smart wool gloves just didn't seem to cut for my usage (ice fishing, dog walking, snowshoeing...basic extreme cold weather solitude use) so I chose the mittens. I knew I was taking a risk as I just couldn't find a review of the mittens. I'm glad I took that leap! I've had the mittens for one week now with air temps reaching -15˚F. The gloves are great! They're not overly roasting but warm (that's key!) and as long as you can keep your fingers moving once in a while, they work great! The wool contents seem to feel better than any of the synthetics I've tried, breath well, and seems to retain heat well. We'll see how they fair in the coming months and look forward to updating my review with more experiences.
