Steven Rozendaal's Bio

I was born and raised on the slopes of Vermont and moved to Utah in 1991 to ride powder. In 1999 I start my own production company and documented the freeski movement until 2010. Now I am excited to get into the mountains with my wife and young son. I continue to have a passion for photography and film. In the summers, I like hiking with my family and skateboarding whenever possible. Now that I work for BC.com I hope to get into mountain biking as well.

5 5

Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
Fit: True to size
Height: 5' 4"
Weight: 125 lbs
Size Purchased: 9

Bought these for my wife, here's what she has to say:

"I toe-strike, so finding running shoes I love is a pain. These are a little soft (if you're running on your toes) in scree, but great in mud, wet rock, and dry ground, Super psyched to have some waterproof shoes this winter; they stood up really well in a surprise downpour and kept my feet warm. I always go up at least a size in running shoes (I'm a 7.5-8 in street shoes) for long runs, and these don't slide at all at the beginning of the run, and are still comfortable after a few hours"

Perfect running, climbing jacket
5 5

Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
Fit: True to size
Height: 5' 4"
Weight: 125 lbs
Size Purchased: Medium

Bought this as a gift for my wife, she says:

"I had one back when they were the "dragonfly" and really wanted to replace it ever since I lost it. It's the perfect running jacket. They've made some awesome improvements since then, here's what I love about it:
- Flat zipper so you can zip one-handed without breaking stride and it never snags
- Windproof(-ish), breathable but keeps you warm in high Wasatch ridgeline winds
- Water-resistant; the first day I took it out I got caught in a downpour for the last half hour and my top was still dry when I made it down
- Packs super tiny into the chest pocket; is absurdly lightweight
- I havent ripped it yet, but the nylon is ripstop which is a huge bonus in scrub oaks
- Elastic wristbands, but only on the inside of your wrists so it's not tight
- I had the dragonfly when I lived back east, and it was great during black fly season in Maine for keeping the bugs out

I wanted it a little big so I could use it year-round, the small would have been great in the summer, but I can fit a fleece under the medium for the winter. "

"Best running shorts I've ever owned. The liners keep them in place, they're lightweight, and the small pocket in the back is unobtrusive and good for single key/license"

Very versatile and comfy

Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fit: True to size
Height: 6' 1"
Weight: 195 lbs
Size Purchased: xl

I couldn't believe how soft this was when I put it on. The 12% spandex also makes it very stretchy. I used this for every aspect (even a pillow) of a recent trip to the desert and it performed beautifully. I recommend this to people looking for a versatile mid layer that is soft and allows great movement.

The 30 day test
4 5

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I wore these shorts for 30 straight days. I work in a warehouse and hike with my family at least 4 days a week. I also wore them out to dinners and social events. These shorts have held up and worked well. I would recommend these to anyone looking for an excellent all around short.
