Stephen Wang's Bio

I have been riding road bikes since I was 12 yrs old and love everything cycling. I spent 12 yrs racing: road, mtn., and cross bikes all across the country. I never made it to the Tour De France, but I will forever be a cycling nerd. Born and raised in Hawaii I have a deep love for the ocean and was blessed with some of the best waves in the world to surf on a daily basis. I surfed competitively for 5 yrs both short and longboard, and was a lifeguard for 7yrs on a beach in south west Oahu. I love the outdoors and I'm super stoked to be working at Backcountry.com surrounded by so many other people just like me!

Love this flannel! I got the the navy color and it looks great... I'm going to have to buy some other colors now cuz I like this flannel so much. On me, it's a little baggy (I'm on the skinny side) but the large still fits me good length wise (cuz I'm on the tall side).

Large opening, easy to clean and put ice cubes in. Soft tip easy to open with your teeth while riding. No plastic taste purist bottle. Super soft plastic that is easy to grip and squeeze... nice flow of water too. Let everyone know who your favorite cycling company is!

Nice and soft good quality tee shirt for Competitive Cyclist. Didn't shrink too much (25% cotton). I'm tall and skinny and the large fit perfect. Let everyone know who your favorite cycling company is!

Super soft and comfortable. Not too big not too small but just right fit wise. I'm tall and skinny and the large was perfect for me. I find my self wearing this hoody every where I go. Zipper is nice and big, looks like it will last a long time.

Love these toe covers! Perfect for fall rides where your feet get a little cold but you don't need full on booties. When the temperature rises later in your ride you don't need to take them off. I used these down to low-mid 40's. Really easy to put on, you simply stretch over the front of your shoes and around the cleat on the bottom. These are more for road riding, trail use would prematurely wear out the bottoms. If I was riding in the 30's I would definitely recommend a warmer boot as these wouldn't provide enough warmth.

Really love the Pioneer single sided power meter! Incredibly easy to install and set up... Took less then 10 min to get everything going. I have been using the Pioneer meter with a Garmin 820 for almost a year and I am very pleased. Single sided power meter is light weight and simple. Battery life depends on how much you ride, but I got close to 4(k) miles out of mine. When the battery gets low the meter lets you know by displaying a "battery low" icon on my Garmin... I kept forgetting to change the battery and it lasted for another 3 or 4 rides... so no need to panic when low power meter icon comes on. If you want you can add the second side of the meter later and make your power meter even more accurate! With two sided power meter you can measure the power in each leg, allowing you to learn how to pedal more efficiently. Best part of the single sided meter is the price which is why I went with one side only.
