These are excellent winter ice climbing gloves! Warm enough to avoid the screaming barfies while still dexterous enough to put on crampons, tie knots and place screws. The fit in my Nomics great! They’re a little too warm for shoulder season climbing, but for mid-winter ice climbing in RMNP they’re tough to beat!

I finally broke down and bought this for couple of years ago, and couldn’t be happier! Everything you need, and nothing you don’t. Perfectly designed. The sleeves run a little long so they stay over your gloves when your hands are above your head, the hood is easy to adjust and fits over a helmet, and just one breast pocket—perfect for a phone or a bar. The jacket breathes really well and has held up to abuse. It even has little foam pieces to help keep it tucked under a harness. It rocks!

I’m 6’1”, weigh about 170 and got the size medium. I wear it over an R1 Hoody and a light top and it fits like a glove.

I think the Sportiva G5 is the perfect boot for the types of climbing I do: frozen waterfalls in CO and Montana and extended trips to Peru and Bolivia. Long approaches are a breeze, they climb flawlessly, crampons go on easily and stay put, and they are really light and warm. Get them- you won’t be disappointed!

In my opinion, the bad reviews for not being completely waterproof are overstated. I don’t know if you can walk through rivers or whatever, but I’ve used these in countless wet situations from dripping wet frozen waterfalls, walking through deep slush, slipping while trying to cross a stream, to punching through a not quite frozen lake up to my shin without issue. To each their own. Peace.

I struggled getting the fit dialed in with these pants so I thought I'd post here to help others. About me: I'm 6'1", weigh 170-175, 33-34 inch waist and 33-34 inch inseam. Pretty typical climber build: tall and lanky. If you're anything like me, forget about the medium, even though it says 33 inch waist. The Arcteryx rep at the Denver store told me that the medium is actually sized from 31-33. For me, I could barely put them on. I got a large, tall and they fit perfectly.

I’ve used these a number of times climbing ice in CO this season, from warm days on dripping wet pillars to freezing and windy days on bulletproof ice, and these pants kept me dry and kept the wind at bay. Highly recommended!
